This Convenience Store's Sriracha Fried Chicken Is Pretty Good

When talking about convenience store meals, it's hard not to mention the great options you can find at 7-Eleven. While 7-Eleven's heat-and-eat meals are awesome, you should also check out the convenience store's Crunch Time fried chicken rice meals which are available over the counter.

If you have a tolerance for food that packs a bit of heat, Crunch Time now has Spicy Sriracha Chicken. The Sriracha is not a glaze that coats the fried chicken but a powdered version that comes in a sachet. You can sprinkle the Sriracha powder on the chicken and if you have an excess of the spicy powder, you can mix it with your gravy for more heat.

The Sriracha powder is not too spicy—totally more bearable than actual sriracha. The powder has a slightly tangy, barbecue taste to it when you first try it, then leaves a very mild burning sensation as an aftertaste.

7-Eleven's Crunch Time's Spicy Sriracha Chicken costs P78/1-piece fried chicken rice meal, P145/two-piece fried chicken rice meal, and P377/six pieces of fried chicken (no rice included).
